LTC International College is a part of GEOS, an international network of schools spread across Europe, Asia, North America and Oceania. Established as a school in 1954, LTC is housed in the Duke of Devonshire's
former home, Compton Place which is an 18th Century mansion standing in its own park of 13 hectares. The building is the only grade one listed building in Eastbourne.
The college is in Eastbourne, which is situated in the south-east of England and has been a popular seaside resort for many years. It has an attractive coastline and just inland is some of the most beautiful countryside in England. It is officially the safest town on the south coast and one of the
sunniest.
The building contains 13 classrooms and extensive residential accommodation whilst the grounds include tennis courts, a football pitch and attractive gardens. Our courses teach English as a language of International communication. In class we stress the skills of listening and speaking so you learn to use English confidently in many different situations. We also work to develop the skills of reading and writing to make sure you actively use the vocabulary and grammar you have learnt.
You are placed in a class at the most appropriate level and your progress is carefully monitored throughout your stay. You can take examinations which will give you useful qualifications and we encourage and help you to do this. At the end of the course, you are given a certificate of attendance together with a report and advice for future
study.
There are two student telephones at LTC. You can use them to call home. Also, your friends or family can call you (Phone by back door +44 1323 722485 and Kiosk near the lift +44 1323 722232), but you must answer the phone when they ring.
